A technologist, a project manager, and scholar, Norris is a problem solver with a can do attitude and the ability to handle any task thrown at him.

Norris has over 15 years experience in the IT industry serving in a variety of roles. He holds a Masters in Education specializing in Instructional Technology and currently pursuing a PhD in Information Technology. Norris' dissertation topic of study is the social interaction of avatars and real-world brands in social virtual worlds. In recent years, social virtual worlds have emerged as a new phenomenon where millions of individuals interact, share, collaborate; spending millions of dollars. According to the DFC Intelligence, the online game and virtual world market will be a $13 billion market by 2012. Given the recent phenomenon, it is important to understand the social interactions that may influence purchases of virtual objects and how real-world brands can be an effective means of advertising in social virtual worlds.
